This gorgeous piano is the product of a design collaboration between Audi (yes, like the cars) and Bosendorfer, an Austrian piano manufacturer. Isn't it gorgeous? It almost makes me wish I had paid more attention during the piano lessons I took for years. Although, I bet even Chopsticks would sound good coming from this piano.
Here is a cute little drawing of my new haircut by HL, the same sketch artist who brought you the Little Prince and workplace sketches earlier!
There was a thought bubble, but I had to crop it out because of its personal nature haha. That's why there are dots coming from my head...
Check out this amazing "superyacht" on CNN. This "killer whale" is 76 meters long and made to accommodate 12 people. It was designed by "Kevin Schopfer, a Boston, Massachusetts-based architect who felt the design of luxury yachts should move away from generic boat shapes to something more playful." While some people might not appreciate the nontraditional style of the yacht, I think it's genius! Click on the link above for more fantastic pictures, including some of the interior. And please forgive the title of the post...I couldn't resist.
By now, I realize that everybody and their brother has done this, but I still wanted to try it. It was so much fun! Click here to create a cartoon rendering of yourself on the set of Mad Men. This was seriously so cute that I was smiling while I was doing it.
Well, it's Monday and my hands, forearms and shoulders are STILL sore from tennis last weekend. How awful is that? I hadn't played in years, probably since college, and we had an hour-long lesson in the heat. But come on, it shouldn't hurt to reach for the "backspace" key after two days. The tennis pro said I have a lot of power (no big deal...) but that I need to work on my control. Perhaps a life lesson rolled in with tennis...?
Over the weekend, I remembered how much fun tennis is and wondered why I hadn't played in so long. And then it hit me - Oh yeah, the weather stinks out here 9 months out of the year, and the tennis courts at my building must be hidden somewhere along with the pool. I've discovered that at least two of my friends out here play tennis, so we've decided to make it our business to find available courts while the weather is still "good," an adjective I obviously use loosely and base upon relativity. In the meantime, I'll be nursing my tortured forearm and taking extra care to avoid typos.
Recently, I stumbled across the movie Still of the Night. It's a sort of Hitchcockian suspense film from 1982 starring Meryl Streep and Roy Scheider, and it takes place in Manhattan. Being the huge Meryl Streep fan that I am, I was very excited to find this on itunes, as it's most often only on VHS. (You remember that archaic system by which people used to watch moving images??) Anyway, it was pretty scary! I mean, movies can scare me easily so you may disagree, but you should check it out if you're looking for something new to watch.
